police, swat police ended a standoff with a wanted man by using flash bang grenades. there you see windows were shattered at this home near holly park. the standoff involved the suspect accused of injuring a police officer by ramming a patrol car during a chase yesterday afternoon. police lost track of that man until someone called the police hours later. >> later that evening at about 8:30 p.m., police got a tip that the same suspect was in a residence on the 100 block of appleton. >> the standoff started about 10:45 and there you see police arrested the man. he had spent time in federal prison and has connections to gangs in san francisco. >>> san jose police were called out to a fire at a home where marijuana plants were found growing inside. the police did not issue any citations because they sate person at the home had a medical marijuana card and was growing the marijuana legally. he had about five or six plant that were found in the garage. it was a small fire. it did burn part of the garage though. firefighters were able to put it out and nobody was hurt. >> problems wit

last night. ktvu's alex savidge joins us live to explain what caused the victim to go out in the dark. >> reporter: good morning. this man's body was recovered. it's believed he drowned. firefighters say he went out in the rain last night trying to find his lost cat and he ended up falling off this sleep cliff behind his house and he landed in the water. this is a water-filled rock quarry right below his home here. this is next to the rockridge shopping center. the oakland fire department launched a search around 7:00 last night after the man's friend reported him missing. rescuers used a boat. one rescue worker rappelled down the cliff. just before 1:00 this morning, they found the man's body about 30 feet under water. one of the drivers involved in this recovery operation explain how they locate a body in dark, murky water like this. >> we use a circle search where we set an anchor at the bottom and a buoy at the top. we have drivers stationed on the bottom and another diver that circles that anchor searching for our target. >> reporter: so far, authorities are not releasing the ide

the battalion chief and told us many of those sent to the hospital have just been released. that's within the last few minutes. a gas representative is still checking all of the apartments in that duplex right behind me with the lights off. now the san francisco fire department says 11 people were transported to the hospital after the adults, there were eight adults, three children registered for high levels of carbon monoxide in their bloodstream. now a dispatcher received the call about 7:00 after hearing a carbon monoxide alarm sounding. >> basically we got a knock on the door from our neighbors and told us there was a carbon monoxide leak in the house. when we got out there was a fire truck and a lot of ambulances up and down the street. >> reporter: now some symptoms of the carbon monoxide poisoning, some of the residents had headaches and scratchy throughouts. the battalion chief is common cause is a faulty heater or stove. right now they still don't know the cause of this leak tonight. they till tell me the family called 911 and was able to get out of the house. a pg &e official is

mike inouye is taking a look at the roads for us. meteorologist christina loren has a look at your forecast of course but we begin with bob redell, who is live at the bay bridge. we just saw a look at that live shot. yeah, plenty of fog there, bob. >> reporter: yeah, and it's very dense. there is dense fog in the north bay, san francisco, the upper peninsula and oakland. you can see live behind me this is the scene at the bay bridge toll plaza where we're certainly already seeing that early monday morning backup and perhaps, perhaps part of the reason why it's backing up so much is because of the dense fog. the national weather service has issued dense fog advisories for five of the bay area bridges, including the bay bridge. live look at the golden gate bridge cam, you can't even see the two towers of the golden gate bridge. there is a lot of dense fog there. the headlights heading southbound from marin into san francisco. you've also got advisories on the richmond-san rafael, benicia-martinez and the san mateo. all of those under advisories. according to our team of meteorologist
